Inspiration: Let it rain in Glitter

With February being the month of love, pre-spring, many celebrations birthdays, anniversaries and even my own birthday, I have come to be inspired by life itself. Each year growing older, maturing, adding one higher number to my age, I have decided to cling onto my youth as much as possible. While always making mature decisions and taking accountability and personal action, we must remain kids at heart, if we want to enjoy what this world really has to offer.
With that I stumbled upon this photo, a girl tossing confetti/glitter in the air. Simple, fun, messy but youthful. Sometimes it's worth throwing a fist full of glitter in the air. So cheers to February and all of 2012's offerings for the year. And when life seems to stress you out, maybe you should go throw a fist full of glitter in the air. I know I will.

A mixologist from Crafts & Commerce making a special Pink Lagoon cocktail, SD Food Farms Food Truck will be out front serving delicious goodies. Jewelry Trunk Show by L.F.R. Designs and 15% of sales will go to the Dress For Success San Diego Foundation! Come out and support, eat, drink and shop!
Over Lapping Fashion Weeks for September 2012?
October 24, 2011posted by Guest BloggersThe New Yor k Times reported a very interesting article last week on the dates for Fashion Week in Milan London and New York. As of then they were overlapping each other. Meaning one must miss Gucci in Milan to see Calvin Klein in NYC and so on. A solid month of fashion shows is crazy enough but each show plays such an integral part on the industry.
Diane Von Furstenberg, President of the CFDA states that NYC must change its dates so all shows are attainable and viewable to the Designers, the Retailers, the Stylists, etc. She goes on to state that " We must protect the industry".
I side with her completely. Granted I've never been to a show yet, I definitely wouldn't want to have to chose one over another.

Versace for H&M the Couture Designer Craze Continues

From Sonia Rykiel, Stella McCartney, Viktor and Rolf to Lanvin, the Guest Designer craze has trended way further than I expected. I know I am anxiously awaiting the launch of Versace, the lookbook is amazing, the patterns, colors, classic Donatella Flair is all there from hot pink suits for men and Leopard patterns for women. Versace for H&M is a sure fire knockout! Maybe PL will get our hands on these peices for another Trunk Show...
