With New York fashion week in full swing I have been drawing a lot of inspiration from street style, a trend I am loving f/w 2012 is metallic and wax coated denim. A great way to add texture and pop to any outfit, the shiny pants in any color are your newest wardrobe essential to stay on trend for the season. I'm a sucker for the Man Repeller's style and courage and I can't get enough of her in this pair of metallic blue Sinclair jeans. But if you want to hop on this trend in a softer way, I suggest easing in with a black or bronze pair. Happy Metallic-ing!!!

She is wearing the BB Dakota leather jacket that we currently have at both PL locations, and I love how she styled it! A little dress with tights and a cute hat is such a great look for a casual fall day. You can also wear this jacket to work with a white silk blouse and highwaisted black pants for a classic look with a little twist xoxo

I always love to see pictures from music festivals, and have been looking at blogs posting about Outside Lands music festival in San Francisco. The music, of course, is amazing and the top priority for festivals, but the fashion is becoming just as important. In the past few years, music festivals have become a place to try new trends and dress outside of your comfort zone. There have been numerous postings of women's outfits on instagram, blogs, and facebook to give inspiration to girls who love the boho-chic vibe. If anyone this summer is going to a festival, go crazy with your outfit and have fun!! You won't be the only one If you don't get the chance to go, incorporate pieces from outfits you see into your wardrobe to tone it down a little for everyday life. Wear your hair in a braid, a maxi skirt, and a crochet top for a summer day. Get inspired and try something new!
