The 3rd Annual DvF Awards were held last week at the United Nations, honoring the likes of Oprah Winfrey, Jaycee Dugard and Panmela Castro of Rede Nami for demonstrating leadership, strength and courage in their respective fields.
Besides being a Fashion icon, heroine and all around kick-ass female, DvF is also a philanthropist and an exceptional human being in this society, an inspiration to all women out there!

After numerous talks with Marc Jacobs, the fashion house may be bringing in a whole team of designers to continue on the legacy that is Dior.

Of course even though we are girls, we watch for the insane musical performances, the gorgeous lingirie we would want to wear and of course wishing we too could look like Adriana Lima and Miranda Kerr.

Over Lapping Fashion Weeks for September 2012?
October 24, 2011posted by Guest BloggersThe New Yor k Times reported a very interesting article last week on the dates for Fashion Week in Milan London and New York. As of then they were overlapping each other. Meaning one must miss Gucci in Milan to see Calvin Klein in NYC and so on. A solid month of fashion shows is crazy enough but each show plays such an integral part on the industry.
Diane Von Furstenberg, President of the CFDA states that NYC must change its dates so all shows are attainable and viewable to the Designers, the Retailers, the Stylists, etc. She goes on to state that " We must protect the industry".
I side with her completely. Granted I've never been to a show yet, I definitely wouldn't want to have to chose one over another.
Versace for H&M the Couture Designer Craze Continues

From Sonia Rykiel, Stella McCartney, Viktor and Rolf to Lanvin, the Guest Designer craze has trended way further than I expected. I know I am anxiously awaiting the launch of Versace, the lookbook is amazing, the patterns, colors, classic Donatella Flair is all there from hot pink suits for men and Leopard patterns for women. Versace for H&M is a sure fire knockout! Maybe PL will get our hands on these peices for another Trunk Show...
